Quiet time-limits, search and research, brainstorming, pure stream of consciousness and creative madness led to the creation of a good logo.
To begin, I’ll tell a few words about Suggy.
What is Suggy?
Suggy (from the english “Suggestion”) is free system which recognizes the interests of users and generates suggestions of websites and other users with similar interests in Internet. While you surf, Suggy learns what topics you are interested in and what sites do you prefer — and offers other interesting sites on the same topic. In this case you do not need to think about what pages you would like to attend, you do not need to invent and enter search keywords — Suggy will automatically detect your interests and find a similar new web pages. In addition this is online community where you can find new friends with ability to communicate, share, advise and discuss in different themes with focusing on specific interests of user.
What is Suggy not?
This is not a search engine, this is a new approach to finding the information you need. If you urgently need to find some new information for you, Suggy not be able to help you. But if you have a specific area of interests and you visit sites on these topics and would like to learn about these new Web pages — there Suggy can become your indispensable assistant. Also Suggy is not a social network, there is no question like “who knows whom”, but “whose interests are similar with mine”. And it’s not a system of social bookmarking — new pages are offered not on the basis of the favorites of other users, but based solely on personal surfing history.
So, here are some wishes of the customer for logo design:
“What we do not want:
- fashionable hi-tech logo, which is typical for many Internet start-up there;
- strict corporative logo;
- too tricked and too formalized logo, over which the brain can be broken;
- child logo a la ebay;
- and of course coloring book in google-style;
What we want:
- a simple logo, easy to understand for masses;
- cheerful and positive — but in moderation, without busting aside “childish”;
- convenient for theming — ie, for example, on holiday (Halloween, Christmas…) so we can simple themed;
- easy to manage and use in print on objects — plates, pens, tattoos.”
